Mission
Ensure the full development of Deaf youth in all their diversity, through policies that enable them to exercise their rights with universal accessibility and equal opportunities.
Meetings, training, activities, and representation for young Deaf people throughout Spain.
The Deaf Youth Commission of the CNSE (CJS-CNSE) is the youth body of the Confederación Estatal de Personas Sordas (Spanish Confederation of Deaf People, CNSE). We represent, coordinate, and support young Deaf people across Spain.
Our work focuses on visibility, participation, training, leadership, and community activities — always led by young Deaf people themselves. Our working language is Spanish Sign Language (Lengua de Signos Española, LSE).
Our activities include annual youth camps, training workshops, congresses, cultural and social events, and awareness campaigns on issues that affect young Deaf people.
Our mission and vision guide everything we do as a youth body for Deaf people in Spain.
Ensure the full development of Deaf youth in all their diversity, through policies that enable them to exercise their rights with universal accessibility and equal opportunities.
Be the national reference organisation for Deaf youth, achieving their empowerment and participation in every area of society.
We promote the ability to choose for oneself and the free development of personality.
We respond to problems, concerns and aspirations to improve quality of life.
We act for and with common interests in the search for shared solutions.
We promote equal access to resources, regardless of where people live.
The Executive Committee coordinates the day-to-day work of the CJS-CNSE and represents it before the CNSE and other institutions. Members serve four-year terms.
